StudyWillow is built for every student. Accessibility is part of our design system — not an afterthought — and we test the app with the assistive technologies students actually use.

Vision
- VoiceOver — screens, buttons and controls carry descriptive labels, and selection states (“selected”, buttons, text fields) are announced.
- Larger Text (Dynamic Type) — the app follows your system text-size setting.
- Dark Interface — a full dark theme that follows your device setting or your in-app choice.
- High Contrast mode — an in-app toggle that switches to a higher-contrast color palette in both light and dark themes.
- Dyslexia-friendly font — an in-app toggle that switches the entire app to Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readability.
- Color is never the only signal — statuses, selections and grades always pair color with an icon, checkmark, label or number.
Motor
- Voice Control — every button has a spoken name, so commands like “Tap Back” or “Tap More options” work throughout the app.
- Comfortable touch targets — interactive controls meet the 44-point minimum size recommended by Apple.
- Tap alternatives — anything achievable by drag (like rescheduling in the calendar) can also be done through taps.
Vestibular & motion sensitivity
- Reduce Motion — StudyWillow honors the system Reduce Motion setting and also offers its own in-app toggle. With either enabled, page transitions become simple cross-fades and decorative animations are disabled.
Hearing
- StudyWillow contains no audio or video content — nothing in the app requires hearing. Notifications use standard system channels, so they follow your device’s vibration and visual-alert settings.
Cognitive
- Density modes — choose a simpler, more spacious layout or a compact professional one, whichever is easier to scan.
- Consistent structure — the same patterns, icons and wording repeat across the app, and destructive actions always ask for confirmation.
Languages
StudyWillow is fully localized in English, Spanish and Arabic, including complete right-to-left layout support for Arabic.
Feedback
We review the app’s accessibility with every release, but real-world reports matter more than any checklist. If you hit a barrier — a control VoiceOver can’t reach, text that doesn’t scale, motion that bothers you — email support@studywillow.com with your device and iOS version. We aim to reply within a few days, and fixes for accessibility barriers ship with priority.
