StudyWillow (“we”, “us”) — the independent developer operating under the StudyWillow name — builds the StudyWillow mobile application and operates studywillow.com (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your name, email address and password when you create an account, or your basic profile when you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Planner content — timetables, subjects, homework, exams, grades, attendance records, notes and focus-session history you create in the app.
- Attachments — files, photos, links and document scans you attach to classes and events.
- Messages — anything you send us through the contact form or support email.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and diagnostics — app interactions and events (Google Analytics for Firebase) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) that help us find bugs and improve the Service.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, language and time zone.
- Push notification tokens — a device token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) used solely to deliver the reminders and alerts you configure.
- Purchase state — subscription entitlement status processed by our payments partner (we never see or store your card details).
How we use your information
- Provide, sync and back up your planner across your devices.
- Send the reminders and notifications you configure.
- Process StudyWillow Pro purchases and manage entitlements.
- Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse and improve features.
- Respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run the Service:
- Google Firebase — authentication (email, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple), Cloud Firestore and Realtime Database (planner sync), Cloud Storage (attachments), Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Remote Config, App Check (abuse prevention), Crashlytics (crash reporting) and Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics).
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase and subscription entitlement management.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for StudyWillow Pro.
Each provider processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.
Data retention & deletion
Your content is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time, and you can delete your entire account and all associated data from within the app (Profile → Security) or via our account & data deletion page. You can also request deletion of specific data without closing your account. Deletion is permanent and takes effect across our systems within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with industry-standard protections. Access to production systems is restricted and audited.
Children
StudyWillow is designed for students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required for consent in their region without appropriate consent. If you believe a child provided us personal information improperly, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise them — we respond to all verified requests.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
