These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the StudyWillow mobile application and studywillow.com (the “Service”). “StudyWillow”, “we” and “us” refer to the independent developer operating the Service under the StudyWillow name. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
Using StudyWillow
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You must not attempt to disrupt the Service, access other users’ data, reverse engineer the app, or use the Service to store unlawful content.
- You must not bypass access controls or usage limits, automate abusive requests, or create accounts to evade trial or AI allowances.
Your content and sharing
You keep full ownership of everything you create in StudyWillow — schedules, notes, grades, attachments and all other planner content. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, sync, display and process that content to operate the Service and provide features you request. We never use your content for advertising.
You must have the right to upload and share the content you provide. Private uploads are not automatically public timetable templates. Sharing a schedule or contributing it for reuse requires your action and the applicable sharing controls. Recipients may keep copies they have already imported; revoking a sharing link does not necessarily delete those copies.
When you request an AI feature, the content necessary for that request may be processed by our service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Submit only information you are authorized to provide. Cached results and any opted-in reuse remain subject to the disclosed privacy, access and deletion controls.
Free access and StudyWillow Pro
StudyWillow offers free planner functionality and optional Pro features. The features, billing periods, prices and usage allowances actually available to you are shown in the app and at checkout. Planned features or products are not a promise of current availability.
- Depending on availability, Pro subscriptions may renew monthly, every six months or annually through the Apple App Store or Google Play. A six-month subscription covers six calendar months, not a particular school’s semester dates.
- The full recurring charge, currency, billing period, applicable taxes and any introductory offer are shown before purchase. A displayed monthly equivalent does not mean that a six-month or annual plan is billed monthly.
- Prices may vary by region and product. Changes do not apply retroactively to a paid period already underway. Future renewal-price changes are subject to applicable store notice/consent requirements and consumer law.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal in accordance with the store’s deadline. Apple may require cancellation at least 24 hours before the period or trial ends. Manage or cancel through the store account used for purchase.
- Deleting the app or your StudyWillow account does not by itself cancel a store-managed subscription.
- Refunds are handled through the purchasing store under its policies and applicable law. These Terms do not remove mandatory refund, withdrawal or other consumer rights.
Trials and cancellation
Where an introductory trial is available, its duration, eligible product, included features, usage limits and subsequent recurring charge are disclosed before you start it. Eligibility is determined under the store’s rules; not every customer or plan qualifies. Reinstallation, a new device or a restored purchase does not automatically create a new trial entitlement.
A trial may convert to the paid subscription shown at checkout unless cancelled by the applicable deadline. Trial allowances can differ from paid-period allowances. A paywall view, preview or purchase button tap is not confirmation that a trial or payment succeeded.
After trial or subscription access ends, Pro-only functionality may become unavailable. A timetable you already imported and your ordinary saved planner records are not deleted solely because you cancel or return to free access. Their use remains subject to the free feature set, the Privacy Policy and any deletion you request. We do not promise continuing access to every Pro presentation, export or AI feature after Pro expires.
Existing lifetime purchases
Valid existing lifetime purchases remain governed by the benefits and terms offered when purchased, and eligible purchases can be restored through the supported store/account process. Discontinuing new lifetime sales does not itself revoke those purchases. A lifetime offer is not automatically a promise of unlimited AI processing or storage; equally, new-plan limits must not silently remove a benefit expressly promised to an existing purchaser.
AI previews, processing and usage limits
AI features are optional and subject to the allowance and access requirements disclosed for your offer. Limits can differ between a free preview, a trial and a paid billing period. A limited preview may show counts and sample rows without providing the complete result for import or export. Any requirement to unlock the full result must be disclosed before processing, not introduced as a surprise afterward.
Successful-result allowances and processing-attempt limits are separate. We may apply file/page size, input/output, rate and other reasonable security limits to prevent abuse and control processing costs. An unsuccessful or unusable processing attempt does not consume a successful-result allowance, but this does not entitle you to unlimited attempts.
Where cached-result reuse is offered, reopening, resuming or unlocking the same extraction must not count as a second completed result. The first full unlock may use the applicable trial or paid allowance once, as disclosed. Caching does not bypass access requirements, and an existing result must not be represented as a fresh AI extraction. Renewal/reset rules, any rollover and separately purchased credits, if offered, are governed by the conditions shown for that product; unused allowance is not a cash balance.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Review timetable dates, subjects, times and other extracted details before accepting an import. AI-written insights are informational, not official academic records, professional educational advice or a guarantee of grades or other outcomes. Some summaries and animations are calculated directly from saved data and do not involve generative AI.
Historical reports and recap stories
Reports and academic-year recaps depend on the data you have recorded and retained. Missing or deleted information can make a history incomplete. A saved recap may reflect the data and grading settings at the time it was generated rather than later corrections; the app may distinguish a saved version from a refreshed report.
Where available, enhanced reports, full cinematic recap stories, certain exports or AI-written summaries may require Pro or another access option disclosed before use. Free users may be offered a limited glimpse without unlocking the complete premium experience. Replaying a cached story does not itself constitute a new AI extraction. None of these presentations is an official school transcript or certification, and this section does not promise that a planned history or recap feature is already available.
Availability & changes
We work hard to keep StudyWillow available and your data synced, but the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Changes remain subject to existing purchase promises, applicable law and any required notice or consent; this section does not override valid legacy purchase rights.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable. Account deletion and retained-data handling follow our Privacy Policy; store subscription cancellation is a separate action as described above.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyWillow shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you use the Service as a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updates here and, for material changes, notify you in the app with the effective date and any notice or consent required by law. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law; it does not replace any legally required explicit consent.
